Character Interview Blogfest

Sangu at Echoes of a Wayward Mind is running a blogfest tomorrow where we are supposed to interview a character from our work. It sounds fun, so join in if you have the time! Be sure to hop over to Sangu's site to check out the posts of all the other entrants.

  1. I'll check it out! That does sound fun.

  2. Ha! I have a guest author scheduled, so I may not have the option, but I have an interview I did with my MC a while back... maybe I will link it in--these are pretty fun.

  3. This is totally unrelated to your post. :)

I just read your profile and you are a diplomat! I just sketched out a novel for Rick Daley's contest (Public Query Slush Pile) that has a MC as a diplomat. Is it as exciting/glamorous as it sounds. Hm, perhaps not in Azerbaijan. :)

Anyway, I'm an engineer, so if you ever need help with the science for your science fiction, maybe we can swap expertise and I can pick your brain about the duties of a diplomat! :)

  4. Susan, I am always glad to answer what I am allowed to. I also am an engineer (one of my majors). Diplomacy has moments of glamour; often it is as dull as any other job and full of more hardships than anyone ever wants to believe. I miss the conveniences of life in the U.S. Believe it or not travelling around the world does get tiring at times. My wife and kids sure wish we could settle in one place back home, but at this point it would hurt my retirement to give up on what I have earned.

  5. Thank you for the shout out, Ted! A fair few people have signed up today and mentioned they came from your blog, so I'm very excited!

Thanks for joining in, I hope everyone enjoys interviewing their characters as much as I have!

  6. It was fun, but my character is such a serious fellow that it is hard to get anything funny out of him.
